8TV's One in a Million reality star IZ recently shot two music videos featuring well-known Malaysian celebrities for his song Gonna Be Alright, off his debut EP.

He did so in conjunction with the 1Malaysia campaign championed by the Malaysian government and to also commemorate the recent 52nd Merdeka celebration last month.
The music video features Dynas Mokhtar (actress/ model), Amber Chia (model/spokesperson), Soo Wincci (Miss World Malaysia 2008/ 2009), Isma Yusoof (actor/director), Ben Ibrahim (host), C. Loco (rapper/ songwriter) and Suki (singer).

The two videos, which were shot in English and Mandarin, will make their debut on RTM Muzik Aktif (Astro channel 180), RTM1 and RTM2 next month.

Gonna Be Alright is a reflection of his character as someone who does not succumb setbacks. IZ hopes it will inspire others to not wallow in failures and disappointments in life but use them as lessons to do better in the future.

On the 1Malaysia campaign, IZ feels that it is important for new artistes to support the campaign.

"I strongly feel that music is the best mediator in getting the spirit of 1Malaysia across to the young generation, who inevitably are our future leaders. I hope to see that one day our country will achieve true `oneness' where we do not define and divide ourselves as Malay, Chinese, Indian or others, but as proud Malaysians."

After seeing both versions of IZ's 1Malaysia-inspired music videos, Datuk Mahadzir Lokman feels that the Mandarin version is a great rendition by the young singer.

"IZ's rendition of Gonna Be Alright truly inspires me, a Malay artiste singing the song in Mandarin. Kudos to the young up-and- coming star who's not afraid to transcend boundaries, and to promote the spirit of 1Malaysia."

IZ was recently appointed as the exclusive icon for the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry's latest nationwide Cyber Security & Internet Safety Awareness campaign for the young. He is also currently busy working on new materials for his full studio album.

He will be launching his latest single called A.L.O.N.E, a result of his collaboration with AJ Pop Shuvit and will soon announce his involvement with an international project in 2010.
