ALBANY -- Kathryn Veronica Gaynor Murphy, 88, of Albany, died peacefully Monday evening at St. Peter's Hospice in the company of her loving family. Mrs. Murphy was born August 10, 1911 in Troy, daughter of the late John D. and Josephine A. Gaynor. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended State Teachers College of Albany before beginning employment with the New York State Department of Public Works. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Murphy, Sr. for the past 58 years. The Murphy's resided in Troy until the conclusion of World War II, and then moved to Albany.
